We are looking for a talented SR&ED Expert with a passion for entrepreneurship. The candidate will work collaboratively with founding teams to help them identify SR&ED eligible expenses, prepare SR&ED fillings and support during the review and follow-up process with the CRA.

What you’ll be doing

• Maintain relationships with clients throughout the year to ensure they are maximizing their SR&ED potential and accurately tracking SR&ED eligible expenses.
• Provide professional advice related to requirements to file successful SR&ED claims including documentation and its compliance with SR&ED program requirements
• Work with clients to gather data and information around the scope cost of the claim corresponding with technical write-ups and project scopes
• Prepare and submit SR&ED claims in collaboration with clients and their accounting/bookkeeping team in accordance with CRA guidelines
• Support clients through interactions and technical interviews with the CRA throughout the process
• Assist with the training and development of staff around requirements for tracking and documentation of work related to SR&ED eligible projects

What we’re looking for

• A SR&ED leader and subject matter expert with 4+ years of experience
• A university degree or specific technical expertise in a science or engineering field is required (BSc, MSc or PhD)
• Strong technical writing skills with a knack for breaking down complex ideas in a concise and persuasive tone
• Experience interfacing with both clients and the CRA to file and defend SR&ED claims
• The ability to juggle multiple projects at one time
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
