That’s a Wrap on Season 3!

Season 3 of The Founder Mindset podcast wraps with a live finale exploring the people, partners, and ecosystem builders helping Canada’s founders grow their companies.

That’s a wrap on Season 3 of The Founder Mindset brought to you by ATB.

The final episode is now live wherever you get your podcasts, and I have to say, it has been such an honour to once again sit down with founders willing to share their valuable time and insights with me. We had a very good time!

Over the course of this season, I had the chance to sit down with remarkable founders from across Canada and ask the question at the heart of every episode: why would you do this? Why take the risk, carry the uncertainty, make the leap, and build something from nothing? And what do you love about doing this very hard work?

Their answers were authentic, thoughtful, and deeply human.

"Again and again, these conversations revealed that entrepreneurship affects every part of a founder’s life. The stories shared showed venture building is about resilience, relationships, conviction, family, community, and ultimately, impact." - Leah Sarich, Host of The Founder Mindset

We talked about what it means to bring artificial intelligence into traditional industries, from transforming tax research to helping farm equipment dealers better serve their customers. We explored how founders are reimagining healthcare, whether that means turning community pharmacies into pharmacist-led clinics, improving access to preventative care, transforming chronic disease management, or changing how we detect and treat cancer.

We heard stories of companies built from deeply personal experiences: estate planning shaped by love and loss, clean technology that began as a high school science fair project, and a new hydrogen storage solution born from the drive to solve challenging engineering problems. We also heard about the moments that test entrepreneurs most: leading a turnaround, rebuilding after setbacks, mortgaging a home to keep a bold renewable energy vision alive, and learning how to stay values-led when the stakes are incredibly high.

Again and again, these conversations revealed that entrepreneurship affects every part of a founder’s life. The stories shared showed venture building is about resilience, relationships, conviction, family, community, and ultimately, impact.

For our season finale, taped in front of a live audience thanks to our delightful partnership with Tech Thursday, I was joined by leaders from the organizations supporting this season to explore what founders need beyond grit: banking partners, talent partners, capital, community, and ecosystem builders who help companies grow from Calgary to the world.

If you have been listening all season, thank you. If you are just discovering The Founder Mindset, I hope you find something in these conversations that makes you feel a little more connected to the people behind these incredible companies, and to the mindset it takes to build.
