PhenoTips has been selected for funding through Genome Canada’s Genomic Applications Partnership Program (GAPP), part of Canada’s $175 million genomics strategy supporting industry-academic collaboration in healthcare.
At the core is SmartRequisition, a $5.4 million project which addresses a critical challenge - getting accurate, structured clinical data from busy clinicians to diagnostic labs. By combining AI with expert workflows, the platform aims to make genomic testing faster, more reliable, and easier to integrate into routine care which means patients get answers sooner and healthcare providers offer accurate diagnoses faster.
“We’re proud to be part of a community working to translate genomics into meaningful health and economic outcomes.” — Pawel Buczkowicz, Co-founder at PhenoTips
