Orpyx's Digital Health Platform To Be Used in NIH and Johns Hopkins Led Clinical Trial

Orpyx's sensory insoles, analytics platform and remote monitoring program will be used in a new clinical trial funded by the National Institutes of Health. The study will test whether integrating digital foot monitoring will help reduce the recurrence of diabetic foot ulcers.

Orpyx Medical Technologies, one of the companies we've invested in, has announced its sensory insoles, analytics platform, and remote monitoring program will be used in a new $5 million NIH-funded clinical trial led by Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

The study will enroll 400 participants to test whether continuous digital foot monitoring can help reduce the incidence of diabetic foot ulcers. These foot ulcers are one of the most costly complications of diabetes because they're the primary cause of diabetes-related hospitalizations and subsequent amputations.
