Mikata’s Mika AI Scribe has been selected as the AI scribe for the Government of the Northwest Territories’ new pilot program.
The pilot launched in January 2026 and is now available to participating healthcare providers across the territory. The goal of the one year program is to reduce paperwork and give providers more time for patient care. Patients will be informed about the pilot program and will have to provide consent before the AI tool is used.
The Mikata team says they're "proud to support this patient-centred initiative in Canadian healthcare."
